Gilles Obermayer is currently Music Coordinator in the Dance Department at Barnard College. He teaches the academic course "Music for Dance", accompanies dance technique classes and supervises the musicians in the department. Gilles is also a graduate COC (Certified Ohashiatsu® Consultant), from the Ohashi Institute in NYC, and a graduate of the Swedish Institute and he has his own private practice in downtown Manhattan . From December 20th of 2008, Gilles Obermayer will be practicing bodywork at Turning Point Acupuncture. From December 26th, 2008 to January 1st of 2009 Gilles will be playing
and performing at the Florida
Dance Association Winter festival. Summer 2009 He will be playing,
performing and doing body work at the Bates Dance Festival. From the Fall of
2009, Gilles will take a leave of absence for a year, from Barnard College, to
pursue his massage therapy career full time.
