Gilles Obermayer is currently Music Coordinator in the Dance Department at Barnard College. He teaches the academic course "Music for Dance", accompanies dance technique classes and supervises the musicians in the department. Gilles is also a graduate COC (Certified Ohashiatsu® Consultant), from the Ohashi Institute in NYC, and he has his own private practice in downtown Manhattan . In September of '07 Gilles enrolled in the Massage Therapy program at the
Swedish Institute in NYC and he will graduate in December of '08.
From September 2007 until December 2008 Gilles will be a full time student at the Swedish Institute in NYC. Due to the policy of the school, he will not be practicing any kind of body work during this period.
